The Professional School of Agriculture and Rural Development of Carvalhais / Mirandela (EPADRCM), located in Carvalhais / Mirandela, is installed in Quinta de Carvalhais, being the only public professional school in Alto Trás-os-Montes. It was created by Ordinance n.º 285/2000 of 23rd of May, resulting from the transformation of the Professional School of Agriculture of Carvalhais, created by contract-programme, under Decree-Law nº 26/89 of 21st of January, ratified on 10 August 1992 and having Carvalhais Secondary School, Mirandela City Council and Carvalhais Parish Council as promoters.
